Abstract:

A 29- year-old woman was admitted to the hospital without a past medical history. Evaluation of pancreatic enzymes did not show a constant trend, and had 3 times microscopic hematuria, an obvious pancreatic inflammation was observed in CT scans. Patient was diagnosed with acute necrotizing pancreatitis. There was no definite cause for patient's pancreatitis, except for the recent use of herbal drug (containing Ginseng compounds) for weight gain that taking it 10 days before the onset of symptoms has started and then stopped. Since the patient's symptom gradually decreased by stopping the drug, probably drug-induced pancreatitis is to be present.
